Box Opening -

It's a green box and there's a phone upfront. There's an 18W charger and I see a $1 bill in here too. There's a USB Type-C cable. There's is X club invitation along with a sim card tool. There's a case but it's not a hard case like they usually offer. This is a soft TPU case & is of decent quality and a scratch guard as well. And there's a some documentation in box.

Design -

It's a big and tall phone. It's an interesting design with a plastic back. The fingerprint sensor is at the back. It's position is alright compared to the phones size. Overall it's not heavy despite being big. It'd be about 200g in a weight. I thought it'd be a little more heavy because of the big screen. But 200g is ok for a big phone.

Ports and Buttons -

Below, there's a speaker grill, USB Type-C port, a microphone and 3.5mm jack. On the left there's a sim card tray. I don't see a noise cancellation microphone above. On the right, there's a volume rocker and power on/off button. The sim card tray has a dedicated sim card slot, so that's good.

Specifications -

This is the 2nd phone in india to be launched on Helio G88 SoC. The 1st was Redmi 10 Prime. It's a very capable and new SoC. There's only one varient in this the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. It's got a 5000mAh battery with 18W charging. The RAM type is LPDDR4X and the storage type is eMMC 5.1.

CHECK HERE

Display -

It has a big 6.78" FHD+ display with 90Hz fast refresh rate. The brightness goes upto 500 nits. So it gets sufficiently bright. But there can be problem under sunlight. It has NEG Dinorex protection just like Gorilla Glass so there's a protection. And it has a 90.5% screen to body ratio. The side and upper bezels are smaller than average. The chin is average sized.

Performance -

The G88 is a capable processor. Because generally I scored around 2L. This is the 4GB RAM varient which scores around 1.75L - 1.80L on AnTuTu. We played games for a long time on the big screen, it's fun but the performance was good. The BGMI performance on HD High settings was no problem at all. So Gaming performance is decent.

Gaming Performance -

The 90Hz refresh rate makes a difference but it also has a 180Hz touch sampling rate. So the responsiveness feels good when you swipe or touch. You can feel the fast touch sampling rate.

OS UI -

It comes on XOS 7.6 which is based on Android 11 with August security patch. You get pre-installed apps like on all Infinix phones which you can uninstall. There're many features.

OS Features -

There's game mode called as "Dar-Link". There's XClone and XHide if you want to clone or hide something. There's also a 360 degree flash feature where you get 2 LEDs on the front and 4 LEDs on the back.

A lot of recent Infinix Phones have this and you get all of those features in the Infinix Hot 11S.

Cameras -

There's a 50MP primary sensor which is good. I really liked that. But the secondary and tertiary sensors are of 2MPs each and are ok. They're depth and AI sensors so it's out of question to talk about them. For photos they're quite good the colors and the dynamic range is good. It has the latest generation sensor. So photos are quite good. And specifically, the aperture f/1.6 which generally is f/1.8 in this range. Which helps in clicking decent photos in low light. The selfie camera on the front is 8MP and as I mentioned you get an LED flashlight on the front as well for dark environments.

There's an interesting feature in the camera you can shoot 2K videos from both front (8MP) and rear Cameras.

Multimedia -

It's a big IPS LCD screen with FHD+ display and has a good screen to body ratio so the viewing angles are ok. It has stereo speakers that's a big plus. Generally, you don't get stereo speakers in the Rs. 10-11k price range but you get them on this device. Which are quite loud.  I won't say that it's completely balanced, but they're loud & are of good quality.

So overall you'll like the multimedia experience on the Infinix Hot 11S.

But there's one thing, it has Widevine L3 certification, which should have been L1 as it's an FHD+ screen.

Sensors -

You get all sensors in this. There's a fingerprint sensor at the back and face unlock which works quite well.

Connectivity -

There's dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi calling support, Bluetooth 5.0 and dual-band WiFi.

This is what the Infinix Hot 11S is all about. The biggest highlights is it's price. The other brand phones with similar specifications launched with G88 SoC are priced at Rs. 12-12.5k.

This one costs Rs. 11k. So that's why I called it value for money at the beginning.

The Helio G88 SoC is a capable processor. And you can do more than 90-95% of the tasks on the phone with ease. You shouldn't have any problems including heavy Gaming. And why just one varient (4GB + 64GB)? There should have been 6GB + 128GB with Rs. 1-1.5k more. It would've been better.
